If you value typical Croatian cuisine, it is best to go to one of the “quaint” konobas. These are local restaurants, which are mostly found here in Dalmatia. A typical konoba is relatively small. It radiates something familiar, because here also the locals come and because there really typical dishes are served. In addition, the service and the price-performance ratio are right.
The most common dishes are grilled fish and meat, sheep’s cheese and Dalmatian ham, but also typical stews. As a side dish steamed or grilled vegetables. White bread is served as a matter of course. In addition to non-alcoholic beverages, there is of course also local beer to drink; however, it is mainly wine that is served.
